  1. I want to copy a Region 0 PAL DVD and am looking for help.

I think the easiest way to do this is to use a multi system DVD player (cyberhome 300) to convert the PAL disk to NTSC out.

I assume the output from the dvd player will be NTSC.

Will I then be able to capture this DVD on my hard drive (using my digital camcorder as a pass thru)as an NTSC video file?

Can I then use that video file in my video editor (Pinnacle Studio 8)

    Thanks for any help/suggestions!

  2. you could always rip the film to your pc and properly encode it over to ntsc, but thats VERY timely.

So to answer your question , yes you can. The cyber home will convert the signal over to ntsc and then its just as if you were capturing/recording a regular film.

I do not own pinnacle but their should be no reason why you could not do what you want with it after it is in your pc

    Yes you can.
This is the easist practical way to convert PAL to NTSC. The video gonna be a little bit shaky, especially on left to right / right to left motion scenes, also some flickering may be noticable, but it is not that much terrible.
The other way, to use a PC, needs time and good knowledge of various programs.
