Hello,
Where do you sign up for skype???
There should be a list of videohelp members who are also on skype so we would know who to call!
Kevin
P.S. It would be neat to have a voice/text chat mod added to videohelp!Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -

Has anyone tried Skype to call an old telephone? If so how was the quality? How was the lag?
My inlaws are semi retired now and are planning on living in Arizona through the winter. The place that they will be staying has broadband so I was mentioning that they could call out using Skype (or similar) for only a couple of cents per minute. Also, if someone calls them long distance on their cell phone they can simply not answer and use the call display to phone back. -
I'm cheap. The Skype version that has call-out costs money (
) I believe.

It will be next weekend before I can get it up and running.
I cannot find my headset that goes into the computer so I will have to buy another one.

p.s. For those of you whom I spoke with, it was great and shed a bit more light on who you really are... and for those I hope to possibly chat with soon, I'd hope you might feel the same way...
Till then..In the theater of the mind...

Skype is just hype LOL
I love when people 'rediscover America' again and again and have to announce it all over LOL!
Ive been using NetMeeting since I had Win95 to talk to my overseas friends for free. I installed quickcam camera to add videophone-alike ability to my calls in 1997, and yes - it was working over the phone modem connections
Couple years ago MSN Messenger had a free "call to any phone number in North America from your computer anywhere in the world" feature. Thats when I finally 'hooked' all of my friends on using MSN Messenger and voice chat. IIRC it was 4-5 years ago LOL. Since then I have "text chats" only with 'casual' people on my buddy list.
But till today still I prefer using NetMeeting, nothing beats direct IP to IP connection if you wanna have voice concersations and a two-way video feeds.
So whats actually new with that skype LOL ???
:P
