Odd problem. I updated my NEC 2500A with Herrie's bitsetting 107v2b5DL firmware, and everything worked great, especially the unlocked read speed. However, I bought the Ong-Bak special uncut edition DVD and anytime I put it in my dvd-rw the computer runs slow while it tries to read and eventually just fails to recognize the disc. The disc works fine in my friend's 2500a with stock firmware and my dvd players.
The dvd is region free and doesn't have any copy protection that might muck things up. I've never had this problem with any other dvds in the drive, and I doubt dust would be so selective as to only cause this one disc to behave poorly.
Any ideas?
