    I have DVD+R Recorder DVD's
I would like to have the ability to select a Title and make a MPG file.
just like it's on the DVD, so that should go very fast.

But the only programs I find give me a VOB file or want to encode it in an other MPG format?

    Thanks

  2. I'm not sure I understand your question, but...

If you want to take a VOB and make it an MPEG file, you could rip the VOB from the DVD and demux them. this will give you an MPEG2 video and some audio files. Demuxing and muxing do not re-encode, they just take apart the pieces of the file or put them back together, respectively. "Pieces" of the file meaning the video and audio parts.

If you just want to take items from an existing DVD and make another DVD out of it, you could:

    a) use DVDShrink to rip the parts you want and re-author(see GUIDES sections for how-to).
    b) Rip the VOB files you want and use an authroing program that can work with VOB files directly(see TMPGENC DVD Author or DVD-Lab for examples, there are others)

DVD-lab did crash a few times.
And demux didn't realy work only for the first _1.vob file on the DVD.
(I would prefer though to be able to select a title so I can change a DVD easily)

Is there a way to mux a m2v and ac3 file back together (VOB) after you re-encoded the m2v through a noise-filter and then put them back on the DVD like notting happened? (or will size be important?)
    tool?

    TmpGenc doesn't handle VOB/DVD format.
The trial of TMPGEnc 3.0 Xpress does but doesn't have sound AC3 support.
It's a lot of money just to noise-filter some DVD+Rs.
(BTW DVDshrink wans't even able to open my DVD+R)
