I have a surveillance camera that I wish to connect to my PC to capture video with.
I want to be able to specify a time for the capture to start and end.
Is there a program that will do this on a windows 98 system?
Also I don't know which capture card I'll be using yet, but as long as it had s-video/composite inputs will any work?
Thanks in advance for your help!

You won't be able to capture more than 4 gigs on that system. That limits your recording time.
You could get an ATI All in Wonder from ebay.com those should if you can get their recording software. -
Ah yes the 4GB limit. I shall put my copy of windows 2000 on in that case.
The only problem is the pc I'm using has no PIC slots at all, it's a micro ATX thing. is there an extrenal solution I could go for? -
Go to www.gotchanow.com. It will do motion sensing, break the files up in to any size you want. It will recycle files and also take clips. I use it at quite a few different sites. It runs unmanned.
I am using some old ATI Rage Pro's with VIVO...
