End of video missing after conversion

I've tried searching but didnt have much luck,

Im using CCE to convert captured avi's to mpeg2 but the last 2 or 3 seconds are always missing, I remember having this problem a few years ago but can't remember if I ever solved it, how do i stop this from happening?

Now that you mention it I have noticed that when using TMPGEnc. It doesn't happen all of the time but when it does it makes me scratch my head as to why it does.

I've had it happen with TMPG too, but i worked out an easy soloution, I just convert the raw avi using CCE without editing all the crap out first, then use Womble VCR to cut everything out and that works fine and I dont lose the end of my videos.
