I want to write a folder video_ts containing normal dvd files (100 mega) on a normal cd-r .
Nero express 6 refuse saying i have to put a dvd on writer.

Hello,
Search the guides (on the left tab) for "CVD". It's a dvd structure on a cdr. Very few dvd players will play it normally. Of course, a pc should do it just fine. And you won't be able to get very much video on it due to size restrictions of cdrs.

Sorry to contradict, but CVD is roughly speaking SVCD @ 1/2 D1 resolution. DVD structure on CD is usually called miniDVD, and is handled by some players. Even for those, you get into trouble when the bit rate of the video exceeds the data rate possible for the DVD reader to read from a CD (they are usually 2x readers). But if you keep the bit rate low (not above SVCD bit rate) it may work.Originally Posted by yoda313

Yes miniDVD is what you need, upgrade your version to Nero Ultra 6.

Author with something that doesn't insist on burning - just create ISO image. Then burn the image (using "anything", including Nero)
