  1. Why do some people let the region thing win over?

Oh I can't buy those they won't on my player, why won't people just set their players to region all ??? I mean its not like its hard

Im sorry but quite frankly to me a DVD player that won't play DVD-R and isn't region all is about as much use to me as a dead mouse on a stick
DVD region settings are a joke, I can't believe how stupid people are falling for it

You obviously do not have any cats, a wife or young daughters then.

I agree. Every home should have at least one player that can play other regions.

    Hello,

Well I don't know, I've only got one non Region 1 (US) dvd and I just watch it on my pc. I've tried converting it but the pal-ntsc is a pain and I'm only part way through converting the music videos.

There is a dvd region for a reason. The companies wanted to force restrictions on the release of movies. Now there are multiregion players so anybody that wants to bypass that should just buy one of them and ignore the restrictions. Since I only have 1 nonnative region disc and don't plan on buying more it's not worth it to me to get a player for that purpose.

    Kevin

Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

Not all players can be set to region free without hardware modification.

I know what you mean though, the region system annoys me and causes confusion between region and ntsc/pal.

Think how many homes you have a seen a VCR blinking 00:00. that's why the region coding defeats people.

  15. Sonys are notoriously hard to make multiregion without it being chipped out of the box - softmod.

www.dvdprofiler.com, to have the web link you must pay for the program, about $20 for life, well worth it if you ask me.
