I have 2 Xvid files that I want to join and burn to DVD. They are currently 640x272, 3ivx D4 4.0.4 with 48000Hz, stereo AC3.

I used the join tool in ffmpegX but the audio has come out sounding like a scratched record. The audio and video of the original files is very good so before continuing any further, I thought I would pop in here and get some guidance rather than wasting too much time meandering about not being too sure of the best way to go about all of this.

I did come accross an app called d-vision which joins avi file for Mac, but I haven't looked very closely at it yet ... and the documentation is in French.

I also want it so that it has a normal screen size (resolution?) but I don't want to lose too much quality in this process.

Would appreciate any help from people as to how I can achieve this.

    Thanks muchly

I'd use Quicktime Pro (you will need appropriate codecs) and copy n paste.

Aye. Used Quicktime to join, then Mpeg2 Works and dropped the m2v and mp2 files on Toast to burn to DVD and it came out just great

    thanks all
