    Hello,

Well one option would be to get a settop dvd recorder and hook it up to a dvd player (one that plays vcds, most do). Then just dub like you would a video tape.

Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

    I agree with Yoda's suggestion.

I don't think you're going to be able to find a magic hardware box with "VCD" inputs and "DVD" outputs, since it's a complicated process. But there are numerous ways you could do it with hardware, the one with the least amount of fuss would probably be Yoda's suggestion.

Software is another option. There are numerous techniques for achieving that conversion.

  4. Yoda's is What I was going to suggest too.

Same process works for PAL to NTSC and
SVCD/VCD to DVD and slide shows

My Apex plays NTSC & PAL with outputs to either or auto if I had a TV that handled both.

So I can play my (S)VCDs/PAL there and re-record on my Standalone DVD Recorder into NTSC, Finalize and done or Rip and re-author.

In Fact I have 3 PAL Discs loaded into the Apex now, to start processing tonight.

I can play slide shows of JPEGs and record that if I don't want to play with S/S software.

    Cheers
