Another Capture Comparison

Man, things have been pretty dead here in the capture forum lately. Need to spice things up a little

So here we go again...especially since all the old images were lost when Baldrick changed servers...and this time it's a different screen cap.

Same frame from a video capture from eight different VCRs. Which cap do you like best and why?

crap that's tough

but I'd go with 7. It's balanced well, showing details in light and dark areas. You need to get the details. You can always adjust afterwards if you need to. It's also the clearest. Others look clear but that's because their contrast is set greater.

2. Looks good for details in dark and light areas, but not as clear looking

5 and 6 look nice but it's washed out in the brightest area's

Capped at 704x480.

I like cap 3 more. Has sharpness and the colours seems to me more natural.

Cap 7 is a bit bright for my taste.

Cap 1. Crisper, more appealing. It seems the colors are less chaotic.

And just to make things a little more fun...same VCRs...same tape...different scene.

For those who have already chosen...still like your choice, or want to change it now? For those who get to see both at the same time...do you like the same cap for each set, or do you like one cap better for one scene and another cap better for the other?
