  1. Hello,

I built a system for a friend and I am tearing my hair out trying to figure out this problem. I put in a DVD that I transcoded (Harry Potter) using CloneDVD and it plays normally for a few seconds and then plays back really fast without any audio (works fine on my other pc and on my laptop). Why this is, I have no idea. Has anyone seen this issue?

    PC specs:
    p4 3.2Ghz Prescott CPU
    ASUS P4P800E-Deluxe Mobo
    1GB DDR400 Corsair RAM
NEC 2510 DVD burner and LiteOn CDRW/DVD combo
Ati Radeon X800 Pro 256MB RAM with latest catalyst drivers

I am running WindowsXP SP2 and PowerDVD and WinDVD. Any help would really be appreciated. I am using the onboard AC'97 CODEC in stereo mode. Thanks again.

  2. I am having the same problem. DVDs and DVD folders play too fast in normal mode in WinDVD4. I uninstalled and re-installed WinDVD and still the same problem. This happened after I installed Win2k and a NEC burner.

    Specs:
    P4 1.7
    WIN2000 PRO
    WINDVD 4
    NEC 3520
