    Hi,

When I use Balderick's guide to de-mux with DVD Decrypter I wind up with an AC-3 file that has a 66ms delay encoded into it. Is this right, and if so how do I synch it to the video when I am drag and dropping it into DVD Architect?

    Thanks

Dont worry about what info DVDDecrypter puts in the file name, the audio is in synch with the video. Just drag it in your DVD authoring program and you will have no issues.

Thanks, but when I import the 2 files the audio IS out of synch. I can see it when I preview in the authoring app.

    Any other thoughts?

    Hello,

You could rerip it in file mode so you get the vob files. Don't do stream processing and you'll get the audio/video in the vob. Programs like tmpgenc dvd author can read the vob file.

    Thanks Kevin,

I would do that, but I'm in the middle of a project with DVD Architect and it wont accept the audio unless it's PCM or de-muxed AC-3. I hate like hell to start over with TMP.

Try re-ripping files to vobs and open in virtualdubmod and demux ac3 as direct stream copy, This should get your ac3 file without the delay. I'm a bit suprised that dvd architect doesn't have included the ability to correct for av synche, (as dvd-lab does for a much lower price). Also vobrator and TMPGEnc tools can demux. best of luck.

In a lot of ways Artichect sucks, but IMHO it is still the best authoring tool on a prosumer level. If you are handy in Photoshop Architect will do almost anything faster and easier than DVD Lab other than menu transitions. It dosent do that yet. Maybe V. 3.0 will.

I'm not bashing architect. I've read that it is excellent app and I wish I could afford it, but I wonder if there is a way to correct the av synche buried somewhere in the program? Hopefully someone experienced using architect can point out where to find it. In the meantime hopefully one of the above suggestions will help.
