I am creating my first project in DVD-Lab, and I am wondering:

    1) I have video and audio files in the "Movie" window. When I play the video I can see it in the Preview window. Should I be able to hear audio when I play the video?

    2) I have had problems with DVDs I have burned - the picture is too jumpy. Is a datarate of 5723kbps too high for DVD?

    1. No. DVD Lab currently does not preview audio, so don't panic.

    2. Max datarate in the DVD spec is 10800, including audio, so you are well within spec. There could be a number of reasons for the stuttering. If the source was interlaced (such as DV), and you have mixed up the field order, if the source has been poorly converted between PAL and NTSC (or the other way round), or if the media is poor quality or the wrong format (some players will only play -R or +R, but not both)

A little more information about the source, how it was prepared and encoded etc, as well as the media might help us work it out.
