    I just captured an old vhs-c tape with an ATI 9600XT, using PicVideo. In a number of places there is a blurry horizontal line about 3-10 pixels in width that runs part way down the video and then disappears. Sometimes just one, sometimes several at the same time.

    Does anyone know what this is called and what I might do to try and correct it?

    Sounds like tracking noise or a dirty head.
