  3. I perfer MetaCrawler ... www.metacrawler.com which searches a majority of the listed search engines and gives ya all the results without having to run all over the place when ya cant find something.

    Poor WebCrawler. Only 1 vote compared to Google's 1,749. I wonder who that 1 person was.

    Anyway, I once used HotBot, then Altavista. Then my friend told me about how he used Yahoo to search and it worked really well. Then I remember once seeing a little image that said Yahoo's results provided by Google. And Google has been my homepage since. I really like the fast loading uncluttered design. The search results are getting worse however.

    www.mamma.com is one of my favorites.

    Used to be altavista (starting almost 10 years ago),
    then ploarsearch,
    then yahoo,
    and now mostly google (somtimes yahoo too)

  11. I use Google for most info searches I need, but Alta Vista beats it hands down for image searches and usually audio and video as well if I'm ever looking for those types of media.
