  1. Every capture I perform using my WinTV-Go produces some kind of a high pitch sound blended in with the normal sound.

I am using a video out from the back of my DVD player to the card and the audio out from the DVD player to my line in. I have tried recording sound at different qualities using nanoDVR and virtualDub. My comp is a 1200Mz Athlon with 512Mb DDR so I don't think performance is the problem.

    Any Ideas ppl??

    Thanx

  2. Make sure that in the Windows Volume Control Line In is the only source during capturing.

    Search Comp PM
    Mantis,

    Try this - may help...

    * right-click Spkr in your task tray
    * click on last selecttion (adjust or somthing)
    * see in your Line-in is [x] checked, if not check it only!

Also, try and turn down (all the way) all the other slides to 0
case you're picking up something in the slitest!!

Else, try and see how your wires are layied out and around
your PC, etc. You may be surprised, but his is a shot in the
    dard!

Also, one more thing. .. .
try and see if your cpu fan needs replacement.
    * could be wearing out, and you don't no it.
    * both fans, for that matter.

Visit my WEB site for some ( ATI-TV Wonder/PVR usb/Haup WinTV PCI/DC10+ ) Latest samples
    * compare what you have with what I layed out for you all (guage)
I believe that these are a big improvement over the others I've
seen here at this site (for guaging)
