  1. I've got an AIW 8500DV with the lastest MMC installed, everything works perfectly. I installed the DivX 5.2Pro codec and was doing some experimenting and noticed that you could only select the DivX5 pro codec if you set it to capture AVI and that the Audio MP3 settings suck (24KHz stereo at best) and you can't change the bit rate.

So I'm wondering if there is a way to install the Lame 3.96.1 MP3 codec (or whatever other codec) and use it in MMC 9.1 so I can capture higher quality audio.

I know I can capture DivX 5 with PCM audio and then later convert the audio to a hi quality MP3 later, then Mux them back together but that's a hassle and kinda defeats the purpose and convinence of real time capture.

    Thanks

  2. You can use the built-in MPEG-4 preset, as it will be better than the DivX5 for live capturing (it also has a built-in layer3 encoder).
