Doing my head in!!!!!!

Have a prob hope someone out there knows the answer. Have ripped 2 dvd films via dvd shrink to 50% each on compression I have included all menus as is on each dvd. What i want to do is put these onto a dvdr with my own menu just to point to which film is required to watch. Once this is done the 1st film will go straight to the main menu as if it would on a single dvd. The problem i am having is that in using tmpeg DVD author it will only let me point to 1 track at a time, therefore defeating the object of having the original dvd with menu and extra content. Hope I have explained this properly, as checked all guids and can't find the right answer thanks!
