  1. I have two separate vob files (burnt as data apparently) and I am unable to play them on my DVD player.

Can someone tell me how to burn them as a single DVD please?

    Thanks in advance.

Open them in an editor that'll open .VOB, like Mpeg Video Wizard or Nero Vision Express. Edit, author, then burn

Alternate plan: Demux the streams with Vobrator, open in any editor, edit, author, burn

    Hello,

Make a video_ts folder. Put them in it. Put the video_ts folder as your main directory (ie d:/video_ts) Burn as a disc-at-once option in your software. Done.

    Kevin

--remember to finalize if your software doesn't - that's why you should choose disc-at-once mode--

Have you tried using the other programs that Capmaster suggested ? It may be that they are invalid or damaged from a DVD perspective, even if you can play them.

As you discovered, following yoda313's advice got you nowhere. Just dumping the vobs into a video_ts directy isn't enough, as you do not have the ifo and bup files created during authoring, and without these, you do not have a DVD.

you need to create the missing ifo/bup files .... use ifoedit and select create new ifo's then just selct the first vob file and let ifoedit do its work ... (save the new files in a folder named VIDEO_TS) create an empty folder named AUDIO_TS then burn both folders onto a dvdr and play
