  1. I'm trying to capture AVI video (Huffyuv v2.2.1 - CCESP Patch v0.2 codec) using an ATI AIW 9600TX. I'v tested many codecs and have found that Huffyuv yeilds the best quality with smaller file sizes. The only problem i have is that in the resulting file that audio has about a 2 second delay. How do I resynch the audio? Are there any settings that i can change so the audio is not off in the first place (audio is captured a PCM)? Are there any better codecs to use when capturing AVI?
    Thanks in advance

I've tried a lot of capture programs. IuVCR is good with many features but almost always out of sync with long captures. AVI_IO was perfect for sync but could never get the BTWincap drivers to work with XP. The video was choppy but audio was awlays in sync. Good program if you use Win98 or VFW drivers.

I'm currently using VirtualVCR with good results. Most captures are in sync. I've discovered my problem is my analog video captures. When you have 5 or six segments on one tape, the audio is off. I capture each segment seperatly, encode them seperatly then merge the MPG together with TMPGEnc tools. If I use VirtualDub and load all segments then frameserver to the encoder they will be out of sync.

Huffy give the best results but the largest of all files. PicVideo with 19 settings gives good video quality and much smaller files then HuffyUv.

I see you are using a ATI product so maybe LordSmurf might have soem good advice for you.
