I have a Panasonic TV capable of displaying 1080i HD.
Connected to the TV is a Panasonic S75 DVD player.
OK so I capture DV AVI's. If I purchased Canopus Procoder 2.0 and encode the AVI using the HD 1081i option, can I create a DVD which displays HD video ??
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!

no -- and blowing dv up to 1080i is not going to make it look better really .. unless you shot your DV professionaly with high end DV cameras on a tripod..
you could get a samsung 931HD dvd player - but its still fake HD (but looks really good on some material) ..
anyway -- at this point unless you order a japan model blu-ray sony player , or build yourself a home settop pc player, or have a HD server or have a dvd player which outputs HD from DVD D1 (like the samsung) - you are SOL (for the most part - maybe some dvd players can output HD from wmv - im not sure - they will soon anyway) ..
and capturing in DV is not going help matters much to begin with .."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
Yep...I thought that would be the case.
OK thanks BJ_M for your reply.
