My friend ask me to transfer some WMV with 5.1 sound to SVCD or DVD.
Well, I never touched in my life any garbage like asf/wmv/rm/etc etc so I have no clue hpw to do it :/
I noticed TMPGEncoder is able to read it, so I see no problems to encode video stream. However I wasn't able to find any tool able to demultiplex this WMV file (for the purpose of getting separate AC3 or DTS audio file, which I could transfer to WAV file and feed TMPGEnc with it, or encode directly to MPEG-1 Layer II and multiplex with MPEG-2 video later, when TMPGEnc finished encoding video stream).

    Any help?

    TIA

Try ASFTOOLS - it can extract audio and save to wave from WMV files.
