  1. Hey all...

I am SO CLOSE to creating my IDEAL VCD template, I have fixed some sound issues, color, bitrate, etc. I have one thing left to do though! I cant get it right!

Resolution. I dont want to make it standard VCD (NTSC-352x240, PAL-352x28, but the SAME RESOLUTION AS THE SOURCE. I know that this will work as long as I ENCODE THE BLACK BARS! Please, someone tell me the exact settings I need to do this in TMpeg....As in the source, and output settings.

Many thanks will be given. I have gone through too many coasters already.

  2. Set the aspect ratio option to "full screen (preserve aspect ratio)", and then set the target resolution to match the resolution of the Divx (you may have to unlock the settings to accomplish the latter).

According to VCD specs the output resolution must be 352x240/288. Let's say, you have a 320x176 Divx, select video arrange method "center[custom size] 320x176" and output res 352x240/288. TMPG add the borders.
