I am trying to capture some old VHS tapes back to my JVC DR-D200 DV Cam, however i am having no luck. The Camera came with an S-Video lead and a scart adaptor, the manual says "to use this camera as as a recorder a commercially available output cable adaptor is required"
What is one of these? Can't i use the cable provided?
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

Scart uses different pins for video out and video in. The adapter supplied with your camcorder will be to allow you to play back from the camcorder to a TV so is using the video in pins in the scart plug. To use it the other way round you need one that connects the video out pins to the S-Video socket. Alternatively, you can get switchable scart adapters that can be used either way round and have a switch on them marked IN or OUT.
