All you have to do is take the quick 1 question poll.

I voted. It looks like Rock & Roll is pimp-slapping the other genres for N. America

Could be something as innocent as the person making the poll not including all genres ...at least the ones he doesn't see as popular enough to be included. The key word here is young

I didn't see big band, bluegrass or disco either. Could be discriminatory against old farts, rednecks and the blow-drier/gold chain crowd too.

Don't be so sensitive Tommyknocker. I'd consider you a sarcastic old bastard even if you wore a swastika

Sure I do. It's right between my copy of Das Kapital and my copy of The Communist Manifesto.

Let's return this thread to the poor student looking for poll participants. We shamelessly threadjacked this

R & B and Disco could fall under Pop, even though it's not all top 40.

No Reggae listed either...which I would've been tempted to vote for.

I decided on Rock since it covers so many genres...and I like a wide variety of music styles.

Move here and you can listen to all the polka you could ever want. They even have a weekly polka show on the local PBS station. Chicken dance anyone?

m_vallee, I think you should of split rock up into a few different categories, but then again I guess the categories could have been endless with all the genre's . Good Luck.

  27. I only included tha main genres. i tried to cover as much as i could with the least amount of genres.

I'm not trying to exclude anyone but i just figured that the genres listed would cover the majority of people and the rest should be able to make a descision as to which they like best.
