I have a NEC 2500 with the latest firmware upgrade so I can burn some 4x at 8x. I have bought some ProDisc 8X disks and burned at 8x and I put it in my new emerson dvd/vcr player and it starts pausing and looking blocky. I bought a new Philips 5 disc dvd changer and after 30 minutes the same thing happens. I bought a Pioneer dvd player 2 years ago and it plays these same movies perfect. Never had one problem. Does anyone have any idea why this happens on these other dvd players. The discs are perfectly fine with no scratches. The reason it get blocky is not from my encoding because the picture quality is perfect in my Pioneer. The pausing is really bothersome.

The only thing I can think of os burn the movie again but at a slower rate of speed.
