  1. Hi,

I am very new to DVD authoring and have used TMPGenc DVD Author to burn my first (and only) DVD.

I have since obtained an avi file 8) and since its in a foreign language it would be a great help if I could add an option for subtitles or perhaps permanent subtitles. The avi file was also provided with a .sub file which I'll asume is the file for subtitles.

Can anybody recommend a good (yet reasonably simpleto use) DVD authoring app? I was quite happy with TMPGenc altho its menu options are quite basic but I really need something that can add subtitles.

    Cheers

    Martyn

IfoEdit. Not your average pointanclickfancybuttonsandskinable app, but rather straight forward.
    No menus tho...

you can add permanent subs with just vobsub and tmpgenc,

or an all-in-solution likediko or dvd2svcd or the filmmachine (they all support switchable or permanent subs).
