I have heard that I would not be able to record any HBO / Showtime from cable unless I used the DVD Ram format. Supposedly there is a copyright to prevent this. Is there any truth too this? Thanks.

I have seen 3 people post that they could not record from HBO/Cinemax, haven't seen anything about Showtime. HBO went to copy once protection in May or June. This is supposed to let you make a recording, but not a copy of the recording. The Toshiba is too sensitive to this I guess and will not allow recording at all.

Is there any more people that could elaborate as to wheather or not this is true?
