also is there like a huge virus or somehtting out there that can disable hardware..it sounds stupis but alot of my stuff doesbn't seem to be working, when i cut on my external harddrives they dont pick up, beacause my usb 2.0 card cant be found, and when i uninstall and reinstall things in computer mgmt, its like the drivers are allready there for the things that i uninstalled....also my built in ethernet card wont pick up, i had to buy another one recently, cause its just like the hardware has just stopped working..holla back

  5. screen pict is of your non working USB card
also click view hidden devices and check to see if there are others.

download the latest drivers for you USB card
delete the unknow devices (all of them before you reboot)
reinstall them with the latest drivers (not the installed ones on your computer)

Suggest boot to safe mode, then remove the unknow devices, then reboot and reinstall drivers

    Hmmm...

SIRCOOKS, is this by chance a FASSCOM MB? Some of the components look familiar. If it is, XP did not recognize the USB, Video or Audio components built into the unit I have. It required loading the drivers via CD that came with the MB
