  1. Hello,

I just purchased a DVD burner (Pioneer DVR-A07U) and I am having troubles burning an MPEG file that's already on my computer to a DVD-R disk.

I have tried backing up an existing DVD I have using DVD Shrink and DVD Decryptor, and that works fine. But as for authoring an MPEG file, I can't get it to work. Here's what I've done:

So, I have an file called "My Animation.mpg" on my computer.

I downloaded IfoEdit, Imgtool Classic 0.9, and DVD Decryptor. I demultiplexed the video into an audio file (.mpa) and a video file (.mp2).

Afterwords, I authored it in IfoEdit using the .mpa and .mp2 files I demultiplexed previously. To see if it worked, I view the files IfoEdit created in the VIDEO_TS directory in DVD Shrink to see if the audio is in sync. However, the audio is not in sync with the video.

Even though the audio was not in sync with the video, I just wanted to try to burn it to the disk. So I tried to create an image of the DVD (F:/My Animation since VIDEO_TS is in the My Animation folder ) using Imgtool Classic 0.9.4, but the image does not create. It just stays at 0%.

So, what am I doing wrong? Is there another progress I have to go through?

Edit: I forgot to mention that the resolution of the video is 640 x 272 and not the standard resolution (which I believe is 740 x 480). So if I try to put the video file in DVD shrink, it says the resolution is incorrect. So how can I maintain the widescreen resolution of 640 x 272?

    Thanks

you need an authoring proggy like dvdlab or tmpgenc dvd author. i usually run my files through tmpgenc first to get everything to proper specs then use author proggy.
