ok i have a compaq p4 1.5ghz 256mb ram and i just put in a wintv pci capture card. i tried to capture video from its software but it captures avi format and takes like 700mb per minute and thats way too much. so i downloaded nanodvr and v-dub from the tools menu for capturing and none of them work right. nanoDVR says it cant process the video format and there is no audio. virtual dub sometimes doesnt work and when it does i dont know what settings to put to make a vcd mpeg file. and now after installing nanodvr and v-dub, my old capture program that came with the card wont work!
please help me!!!!!

sitlet,
START ALL OVER!
I just came back from the store and doing some other chores. I'm finally
here, in one spot. I came back with a WinTV GO card (to replace my very
old Hauppage wintv pci card from 96)
I'm probably gonna do the same thing. START FROM SCRATCH TOO!
I have some many capture card drivers in my system, and my sys is prob
going bonkers with me. It's to the point that whenever I start VD, or
AVI_IO, etc., that I get so many error messages/dialogue boxes popping
up at me.
You should to and do a clean reg process. Hauppage has a couple of apps
for you. Try those out. Let me see. I think I remember where they are:
* There main Support page
* Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
* InstallationUpdatesUTILities - 95-98-ME - 2000-NT
* more
Well, that's about all I can offer you.
Hope this helps, or maybe someelse can offer more.
Good luck!
