OK I admit it I am stupid. I can't figure out how to use the features in the post topic window.(How embarassing) If someone could hold my hand and walk me thru it I would be grateful. I have tried to post a drawing and it doesn't work. If there are better instructions somewhere I can't find them. If anybody could point me in the right direction (yes you can point with your middle finger) I would like to share screen caps and cad drawings but something is escaping my simple mind. I think that I got the smilies thing to work but quotes and such are beyond my skills.Thanks

To post images use the "IMG" tag at the front, then the image file name - without a path, then the "Close Tags" which will end the link:

[ img]filename.jpg[ /img]

I showed it with a space in each IMG tag so it would display, so that shouldn't be in the real one. Also, use lower-case text and no spaces in the file name or between the tags and the file name.

Once that's in the post, click the "browse" button and find the image on your hard disk. Select it.

Don't preview the post before posting or it will lose the hard disk link.

A way to do it with an image on a web site is to substitute the full URL for "filename.jpg" and just don't load it with the "Browse" button

Give it a try in the test forum until you get the hang of it

replace { with [

then browse to the image here:



with quotes:

again replace the { with [

{quote="username"}quoted text{/quote}

or you can just click the button at the top of the post you want to quote.

If you have multiple images, set up all the tags above and browse to your first image. Hit submit. Then edit your post and browse to the second image. hit submit. and so on ...

To post an image it should look like this. Use lowercase letters and the file can't be over 50k, I don't think anyone mentioned that. Click the browse button and select the file from your comp.

Might be an idea to quote this post of mine, to see how the image is formulated. Replace the stuff inside the img tags with yourfile.ext, browse to this file and hit submit.
