Hi All,
I have a samsung SCD 103 digicam and I want to transfer a 30 minute clip I taped to my computer. I have connected via firewire however whenever I attempt to "capture" the video I have to sit through the 30 minute clip while it "captures" it to my harddrive.
This is where I am confused, I thought by it using DV tapes I could just copy the video to my computer ( like coping a file from a flash disk storage) and not have to sit there and watch the clip. Am I doing something wrong or is this hoiw DV works also?
Thanks for any help.
Brian

A 30 minute video is like, what, 7-8 gigs??
Considering how much data goes through the pipes, don't look at it as some sort of slow process...
