I bought the hauppauge WinTV GO 190. I hooked up my VCR to the composite input of the card. I used Virtualdub and huffyuv to capture. I had very little dropped frames. When I opened the AVI, these white horizontal lines run up and down the screen sometimes. Other than that, I am very happy with the quality. I encoded the AVI to VCD format and burned it, that worked fine)

Heh, yeah I had the exact same problem, its because you got the wrong capture color mode. I use WinTV FM BTW.
