  1. I am using IE 6 for websurfing.Now IE6 is not displaying any website when I am on line I get message "Page Can not be displayed." I tried to reinstall/repair/uninstall IE 6 and could not do this I get message as under;
    " cannot uninstall Internet Explorer 6.Either the uninstall information is missing or the information has been corrupted."

    In the circumstance please guide me how I can overcome this problem.
    My system details are as under:

    Mercury Mother Board.
    Intel(R) pentium 4 CPU 1.60GHz
    1.61 GHz
    256 MB RAm
    40 GB Seagate HDD
    Samsung DVD Combo drive
    LG 48x CDrom drive
    OS:
    Microsoft Windows XP Professional version 2002
    Service Pack 2

    Check the SP2 firewall settings. It may be interfering with your network settings.

    Though it shouldn't be this also click file and make sure "Work Offline" isn't checked.

    If problems persist try another web browser to see if its an IE or System problem.

    IE 6 is working offline. I am at present using Opera 5 it is working fine.

    should I first uninstall SP 2 and again reinstall the same. I used one spy/addremover software and this is the result. I have since uninstall that spy/add software.

  8. You may want to consider using Mozilla Firefox for the majority of your internet surfing habits. www.mozilla.org . It is a free fast & secure browser. The main problem with IE is that it is full of security holes, and is a big target for hackers. Firefox is much safer and secure.

    may want to consider using Mozilla Firefox for the majority of your internet surfing habits. www.mozilla.org . It is a free fast & secure browser. The main problem with IE is that it is full of security holes, and is a big target for hackers. Firefox is much safer and secure.
    Valid thoughts but even Firefox won't work with a corrupted IP stack.

    Yeah I ran into this corrupted IP stack thing for the first time a while back. Needless to say its a good thing the creator of the spyware responsible wasn't in front of me or I'd be in jail now.
