Is it possible to convert mka video files into a dvd, if so is there a guide I can use or could someone tell me what tools to use and how to do it?

Hello!
mka is audio so I assume you meant MKV!
Anyway less of my hairsplitting
Yes you can convert but I know of no 'direct' route. In the past I have extracted the video content from the Matroska container into the more useable AVI container and then used the usual DVD programs with the resulting AVI.
I convert the MKV thus:
Use MKV Extractor (& mkvtoolnix-runtime) - install into same directory.
1) Copy mkv movie into MKV extractor directory & then DOS:
Video extraction: mkvextract tracks name.mkv 1:test.avi
Audio extraction: mkvextract tracks name.mkv 2:audio.avi <- or .ogg or whatever!
2) Possibly continue above process for more tracks etc.
3) Just for kicks: Also possibly extract any embedded pictures using TheCore Media Player.
Now you have a more compatable AVI that I hope you will find easier to make a DVD out of....
Good luck,

Where do you get a mkv extractor? I can't seem to find a web link with one...
or is it in tool suite somewhere?Gary Tabar Jr.
