I'm trying to take a VOB file and convert it to the "best" format for editing in FCP - I don't know if VOB to DV is the best way, but I'm trying it. Either way, when I perform this conversion a substantial amount of static enters the audio.

I'm using the presets for movie to DV in the drop down menu - is there something I can do to avoid static entering into audio tracks?

    Thanks for any suggestions!

  2. I made a quick test and I was unable to reproduce this issue. However, it is safe to use the MOV MPEG-4 quick preset for later import in FCP.
