  1. DVD Players: Tatung dv-668 and Toshiba SD-2800

Both of my players says that it can read dvd-rs. However when I tried to play the ones I burn they were not reconized. Heres what I did:

I downloaded a custom dvd which consisted of 2 bup, 2 ifo and 6 vobs. I put used the dvd-video feature in Nero 6.3.1.17, dragged all the files to the VIDEO_TS folder, went to the ISO tab put the file length to 11 characters and character set to ISO 9660 and burn. I even tried a different program ( gear dvd ) burned another with that and still doesn't work. I dunno what to do please help.

Some of the files might be missing or damaged. You might try using TMPGENC DVD Author to make a completely new structure. You can import the VOBS into it.

Try this: Create a VIDEO_TS and an AUDIO_TS folder "side by side" in an otherwise empty dir somewhere on your HDD.
Put your IFO, BUP and VOB files in VIDEO_TS
Make an ISO of VIDEO_TS/AUDIO_TS with imgtools classic.
    Burn ISO with DVDDecrypter.
If it still won't work your player either don't like your DVD-Rs, or the downloaded files are all corrupt somehow.

No, if you have IFOs, BUPs and VOBs, the authoring is already done. If it was authored correctly, and you're not missing any files, there's no need to reauthor.
After you've created the ISO, you can mount it with daemon tools, and play it as if it was a regular DVD with your software DVD player, just to check things out, and make sure it's no fundamental problem.
