Hi. As the topic states im using a Sony 510a.
Been using this drive for over a year and never had any problems. However, my dad purchased 200 dvds so we wouldnt have to buy more for a good while. I had been using Bulkpaq orange dvd-r's and everything was fine so my dad decided to get the majority of the disks of that brand
Now whever i try to burn dvd's the writer throws it out after around 3 mins. When i compared the disks to mine the newer ones were a slightly darker orange but both have "generation 4" on them and also "4 speed".
So I gave 2 disks to 2 of my friends and asked them to try them and both worked fine so I know that it can't be anything to do with the disks.
I tried upgrading the firmware thinking that was the problem but no luck with that either.
If any additional information is needed then ask away. Cheers.

When the writer ejects the disc after 3 mins, does it give you an error message? If so, what is it?
