software that can lock CD-ROM speed?

i need a program that can lower the speed of my 60x CD-Rom drive...
im currently using Nero Drive Speed, but when i burned using Nero Express got this message from Nero Drive Speed that the drive speed is locked by Nero Express <<< is this okay? need to lower the speed so it will be more reliable in copying movies to my HD for back up purposes...

any other program?

I don't see a problem with nero express locking the speed.

Just copy away.

i can adjust the speed of burning in nero express...can i also adjust the speed of the reading my cd using nero express? how?

There is an option to test the speed in nero express.
