I edited and finished a project in Premiere 6.5, then encoded and exported it to MPEG for DVD. I used TMPGEnc DVD Author to create the menus and burn the disc (Imation DVD-R). Playing the MPEG video from my computer, it looks good. Playing the DVD, the motion clips on the DVD menus look fine. But when playing the video from the DVD, the picture is very jumpy and not acceptable. Is this my media or something gone wrong in the burn process?

You may want to try different media or if you have another dvd player different from the one you have already played it from, try playing it from a different dvd player.

    Thanks for the response...

I have two progressive scan DVD players - a Sony and a JVC - and the picture is jumpy on both of them.

I think I'll head to Best Buy and see if I can get better media.

I have always had great results using Ritek DVD-R, I usually purchase them from Newegg.com but they don't have the ones I am use to ordering. It's probably still the same thing.

You may not want to buy such a large amout at first, just to be sure that they work well for you. But even for the 100 pack, it is a really good price.

  9. It could be an encoder/original video problem. You could try adjusting your bitrate. I had an almost identical problem recently. I doubt that TMPGENC would give you any trouble, so I might try adjusting the bitrate if a different media doesn't work. DVD Patcher will change your bitrate without rerendering so you can see if that is it. Hope you get it solved.

  10. You probably have a field order problem.
