No, both you and I know curryman doesn't make the kind of posts William Hayburn has just been making.
Why anyone feels the need to hide behind a username and make posts such as the ones I've just been reading is beyond me.
Time for an IP check I think, and time for me to kill him off; remember our discussion?

Thread title suitably amended to reflect the passing of a truly great man.

He lived in the shadow of two legends here - Will Hay and curryman. He suffered from an identity crisis, especially nearer to the end when he seemed downright schizophrenic at times.
His shameless theft of my old avatar was a warning sign to me that he was a desperate, tortured soul. His last posts were uncharacteristic of either Will or curry, and it became clear that he had mutated into a hellish hybrid of the two ...with other disturbing traits thrown in.
I hated to do it, but the sentence had been passed by the rightful owner of Sir William's fate. Alas ....the blade has fallen ...... -
When did these forums succumb to (what I'll call) complete pussification?*
Sure, I posted a grand total of 10 times, but 6 were actually helping out people.
Were it Will Hay or any other "that's just Will/jaxxboss/whoever being Will/jaxxboss/whoever" member hurling the so-called insult, it would have been passed (informal warning at worst). The fact that someone (freestyler) idiotically "answers" a post should be grounds for come-uppance. If there's a policy about name calling or swearing, it should be across the board, "old-timers" not exempt.
Don't get me started on the nickleback thread. tgpo posts a link, I refer to the link/site, yet he takes it upon himself that I am attacking him (or was that Cap?)
I just don't get the "evaluation" of William. Legends? Hardly. The "theft" was before my time, though, so I can't say who that was. I don't know what the biggest insult was, that the posts were actually odd/bad or that it was possibly a regular whom they couldn't pinpoint?
This used to be a fun place to visit, but once easy-going mods are really starting to lose it. When the choir boy of the group (Yoda) starts worrying about what he posts, something is amiss.
*I believe it started with jeex being banned after insulting stiltman's son/avatar. Who the hell should really care if an avatar is insulted, whatever it represents? Are people really that thin-skinned that they worry about what someone, whom they've never met, says something about someone else, whom they have never met?
Any replies to this message probably won't get a rebuttal, as I'll probably be banned.
And Will, get over that little incident where I reported you already. It was upheld by the mods, so stop flooding the forum with your tears.

Supreme,
Lighten up. It's all in fun.
No you won't get banned for what you said. But I PMed you about your sig pic. -
Supreme,
If someone insulted your children, wouldn't you be offended?
It was an insult that was hurled at stilt. -
I think Jeex was banned for more than just insulting stiltmans avatar.
-
Jeex banned, now Bill Hayburn comes up missing. I fear he may have met will foul play.
Hello. -
Supreme2k,
Lighten up. William Hayburn was an alias of curryman. If you had been around you would know that because there was a very active thread.
It was also agreed by myself, curryman, and Will Hay that once the William Hayburn persona had run its course, Will Hay had the call of when to ban the user and eliminate it.
THe last couple of weeks the password for William Hayburn was posted here, and several users used it once or twice. Everyone knew what was going on ...everyone who is here regularly, that is.
Today the William Hayburn persona had outlived its usefulness because one of the anonymous users had changed the password, stealing the identity, making it unusable for anyone else. Will hay decided, quite appropriately, that the time had come to kill off the William Hayburn persona. And I did just that.
Then Will, in the spirit of fun and entertainment, created this "Condolences" thread.
It's all in fun, William Hayburn wasn't a real person, and we were all in on it. Except you. Because you missed that part.
Now you know. -
Oh really? Then where is Curryman? This whole scene stinks to high heaven. Does anyone beside me feel a crime has been committed. Come on, gurus, wake up and smell the smoking gun.

Did no one read my last post where I said that I made the last 10 posts under Hayburn? OH THE HUMANITY!Someone (I) took over a membership that was released into the wild! For shame! :P
I don't see why someone should be given rights over a name that they give up, or that sounds/looks like theirs'. No one should have any say over "Son of tgpo" or "Mod Cobra" other than the person with the password (or the mods/admins). If/when there's a Supreme3k, I will care less than 2 squirts of piss about it, and I (or anyone else) should hold no "mod power" over him. I do, however, reserve Supreme1k and Supreme0k :P
And I couldn't give less of a **** what people here think about my child(ren), especially if I were to offer up their pic for scrutiny by some of the whackos who inhabit these spaces. I rarely give a crap what people say about me.
freestyler, face it: You completely blew by my argument and edited it to say something else. You don't have to agree with it, but if you refute it, refute the actual post and not a mis-quoted hack job. That way, you will not be referred to as a fuckwit.
By the same token, you again took Hayburn's (my) post completely out of context. -
If you want to continue this discussion, Supreme2k, drop me a private message. I can't guarantee I will bother reading it, however.

I rarely chat in PMs.
However, I'll be more than happy to give you a holler at Weinerschnitzel. It's 69 cent chili dog night (10 for $6, with coupon). -

Hello,
Funeral services will now be held for BOTH Gitreel and William Hayburn this Thursday evening......

Would somebody please clue me in as to what happened here?
I'm a little lost... -

curryman released the password and said "have at it". Several did. It was also agreed to by me, curryman and Will Hay, that since William Hayburn was masquerading as WIll Hay there early on, Will should have the say as to when the member got removed. We all knew it would happen soon.
Supreme glommed onto it and made it his own by changing the password.
After some inflammatory posts as William Hayburn, IMO, hiding behind what he thought was anonymity (forgot the IP button), Will Hay saw the disturbing trend and called for the immediate beheading of "William Hayburn" Will positioned the head and I pulled the lever.
Now Supreme is calling foul, claiming that since he stole it fair and square, it shouldn't have been killed off.
That's about it. If I've missed anything, speak up.
