Alternate identity, Baldrick, or has Indolikaa really been running Videohelp all this time?

Maybe an old ISP you used?
"Adult content"? No. That usually means lots and lots of porn.
Popups? :P

Even stranger, I can't even load that site. MY JOBS WEB IS HALF BROKE AGAIN.
trying to draw attention away from the fact that in secret I use this site as a porn/popup server -
weird since dvdrhelp and vcdhelp show no pop ups or porn in their rankings ..

That info is gathered by the alexa toolbar so it really means nothing, probably the private message being counted as a pop-up. Don't know it for a fact but I've seen it suggested that even a spyware pop-up can be counted....
Apparently no one with the alexa toolbar visits my site, it's not even ranked

Good call. I think we have a winnerOriginally Posted by thecoalman

maybe - but it said dvdrhelp had no popups and it also had the priv msg one ..

WTF
I never get any porn popups here

How do I sign up for those?

Like I said that info is only gathered from the alexa toolbar, and it's recent so dvdrhelp isn't going to have any. It's irrelevant trash, I had a webmaster point the information on that site out to me as being correct in judging a sites importance because they were listed. Basically "yopur unimportant because your not listed" They were hot shit right up until the point where I gave them a glimpse of my server logsOriginally Posted by BJ_M
So where you guys hiding the porn at?

I've noticed pop-ups since the move to theplanet.com. I've got SP2 installed so I get the "popup blocked" message in the yellow bar probably every 15-30 minutes or so and I can assure you it's not the private message notification. I didn't think that Baldrick would deliberately inundate us with pop-ups.
If in doubt, Google it. -
1) what domain do you access the site from andOriginally Posted by jimmalenko
2) have you checked for spyware lately.
There are no popups on the site. Other then the private message one. -
Another victim, I think I'm going to put a banner on my site that says there are absolutley no pop ups here, if you get any go here ------> with links to spyware buster sites.Originally Posted by jimmalenko
It's actually pretty bad if you think about it, somone comes to my site and gets a porno pop-up and they are unaware that it didn't come from me me.....really good for business. -

No Spyware - I had just reformatted and reinstalled windows (the night videohelp.com came back on air) but I changed ISPs at around the same time so that might have something to do with it. Google toolbar maybe ?If in doubt, Google it. -
Next time it goes to pop up see what it is..... Punch the monkey and win!!!!

I doubt your ISP is sending you pop-ups unless it's AOL. It's not the Google toolbar, it has a pop-up blocker and they would get slaughtered if it did. -
It would be to me if I was getting pop-ups where ther shouldn't be, matter of fact it would be more of a concern. Even AOL might not be the culprit, most of there pop-ups are as soon as you log. My GF has AOL and she doesn't get them.Originally Posted by jimmalenko

If you installed the Google Toolbar with the DivX codec you will get spyware, I think agreeing to install the Google Toolbar is there own special way of having you agree to all of those third party popups.

Enhanced sends anonymous data to the google server such as what site you click on after a search.Originally Posted by jimmalenko

you can just turn off that function though

I got a few pop-ups for NTL about two weeks ago when I had no other windows open - nothing since.
