That info is gathered by the alexa toolbar so it really means nothing, probably the private message being counted as a pop-up. Don't know it for a fact but I've seen it suggested that even a spyware pop-up can be counted....

Like I said that info is only gathered from the alexa toolbar, and it's recent so dvdrhelp isn't going to have any. It's irrelevant trash, I had a webmaster point the information on that site out to me as being correct in judging a sites importance because they were listed. Basically "yopur unimportant because your not listed" They were hot shit right up until the point where I gave them a glimpse of my server logs

I've got SP2 installed so I get the "popup blocked" message in the yellow bar probably every 15-30 minutes or so and I can assure you it's not the private message notification. I didn't think that Baldrick would deliberately inundate us with pop-ups.

Another victim, I think I'm going to put a banner on my site that says there are absolutley no pop ups here, if you get any go here ------> with links to spyware buster sites.

It's actually pretty bad if you think about it, somone comes to my site and gets a porno pop-up and they are unaware that it didn't come from me me.....really good for business.

No Spyware - I had just reformatted and reinstalled windows (the night videohelp.com came back on air) but I changed ISPs at around the same time so that might have something to do with it. Google toolbar maybe ?

I doubt your ISP is sending you pop-ups unless it's AOL. It's not the Google toolbar, it has a pop-up blocker and they would get slaughtered if it did.

It would be to me if I was getting pop-ups where ther shouldn't be, matter of fact it would be more of a concern. Even AOL might not be the culprit, most of there pop-ups are as soon as you log. My GF has AOL and she doesn't get them.

Interesting. I didn't install it with DivX, I got it from google's website but chose the "enhanced" install option.

Enhanced sends anonymous data to the google server such as what site you click on after a search.
