I'M capturing mostly from Satellite via DV.From time to time I'm getting the video in wrong field order (don't know why),i.e. top field first instead of bottom field first (PAL).Result is, the DVD is not viewable on a standalone (PC is working fine).Question:is there an easy way (i.e. without reencoding) to get the fields in the correct order?

Are you converting to mpeg2? If so, change the field order in the program you are using to convert, rather than convert and then change the field order. I don't think it has anything to do with your Sat receiver. If I am not mistaken, field order is determined by the capture program.

Thanks for the responses.Restream does the job very fast and good.
And to answer the last post:Yes, I'm converting to mpeg-2.I'm using always the same capturing program (DVIO), but get from time to time different results regarding the field order.I only can see, that this is wrong after the conversion.Or is there a way to check this before?
I'm using avisynth to cut the movie.
