Ok, I have winrar figured out up to a point. I've started downloading a file that has more than 100 parts, so the extensions changed to .s files. For some reason, these are not showing up as winrar files. Anybody know what's up? I'd like to know before I finish the download, get ahead of the problem if possible.
Thanks!

Winrar registers all filetype with the extension .r?? as WinRAR type - hence they appear with the WinRAR icon.
As every file type (.rar, .r00, .r01, .r02...) is registered separately, which means Winrar already registered over 100 file types with itself, some kind soul at RARsoft spared us and didn't register all the .s??, .t??, .u?? etc. with it.
Even though Windows will regard them as 'unknown type, WinRAR will recognize and deal with them. As a matter of fact, you should usually care only about the .RAR file - WinRAR will continue with the next ones as it may need, going to the .s?? and .t?? when needed without asking unecessary questions (wish I could say that about myself).
