    Hi all, glad to have found this website!

    What does it mean when you order vhs to dvd tapes and the company says Video content is digitally filtered to improve video and sound quality?

    So can i do this with my old vhs tapes - PC with just using capture/editing software, tv tuner card and Vcr? or are they using something special to "clean" vhs tapes up?

    Any help in this area will be much appreciated as I am just learning and would like to tranfer my Vhs movies to DVD.

    It usually means using an capturing or encoding programs to decrease the loss of quality you will get from transfering from VHS to DVD. You can do this yourself with most of the progras here. That phrase really means very little to someone who has done it a lot.
