Epson have a patent on inkject CD/DVD printing in the US so Canon can't sell CD/DVD enabled printers there.

Presumably rather than import an entire printer though you would only need the CD attachement.

Who would want a printer that doesn't work if it is too close to the wall? Canon printers are just better designed.

    Sorry, WRONG!!!

The US Pixmas have major internal parts nessarty for CD print MISSING.
I know, as I have been through this mill.

I did find a way, if you are willing to pay a bit more.
I live in Calif. and went to eXpansys-USA.com and got a UK iP4000 from them. Not a bad price at all, considering they have to fly all there stuff in from England (check the shipping rates to do this yourself!).

It thing has been working fine with the plug converter they threw in for free, too. Our US 110v is less than the UK 220V, but the Pixma seems to adjust automatically.

And I find the print quality way better than the Epson R200 I tried first. Much faster and quieter, too - with duplex printing to boot.

Hope you can avoid the mistakes I made before finding thishappy solution.
