A little help

I'm trying to figure out the best and easiest program to do this.. I have a Tivo and I record some episodes from my tivo to my Gateway DVD recorder. what I want to find is the best program, so when I take the DVDrw from the gateway, put it on my CPU I can edit out comercials and add menus etc.. I tried using my TMPGenc DVD aurthor but Its not showing my clips I can't edit anything.. any suggestions would be appreciated..

can you import with tmpgenc dvd author? but you don't see the image when you edit?

you can also try mpeg video wizard, videoredo. only editing so you have to make menus with other tools.

Yes I go to DVD aurthor, and create new project.. Add DVD video.. Then go to where I dycrypted the 2 hour long episodes. then I see 4 titles show up..

title 1 and 3 are 1 hour long
and 2 & 4 say 754 hrs (some ridiculus number)

when I click on 2 or 4 I get

"*This is an illegal video file
This is an illegal video file.
For DVD-Video you can only use the following video formats:
MPEG-1 Video, MPEG-2 Video "

if I click on 1 or 3

It takes me to the add clip, Chapter cut and edit, but it just shows my first frame, and nothing else, will not play, do anything, its just like I'm only working with a picture..
