  1. Hi Guys,

How do I copy a disc that I have MTRed, DVD2ONEed, and Toasted?

I have saved some of my TS Folders on my HD and have copied from them but am wondering if I can copy/burn a copy of a disc I already have processed?
I am looking to use my burned discs as masters for future copying.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Just make a disc image of the burnt disc using toast its that simple.

  3. I guess I am wondering if I can drag the TS folders from the mounted DVD in the drive to Toast and then copy?

I am not looking to store the files on my hard drive.

I am open to all suggestions.

    Thanks Rocco

that requires 2 drives. you can do it that way, but you would actually choose "copy" mode, set one drive to read [the one with the dvd in it] and the other drive to burn [the one with the blank]

otherwise, you have to make a disk image of the dvd first, then eject the drive, put in a blank and then burn that image you just made

Best method: Use Toast to do a "disc copy". Use one drive only. When it finishes copying the disc (to a temporary area), it will ask for the new disc (which you insert) and then will burn an exact copy (or "copies" if you spec more then one in the dialog). As long as your "original" isn't copy-protected in some manner, this will work fine. Alternatively, you may "Save as disk image" (from the File menu) and have the image file from which you may burn copies as many times as you need. Which method you use depends on your requirements.

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand. Why is this the "best" method? The poster apparently has two DVD drives.

Once you've MTRed and DVD2ONEed a disc, the resulting VIDEO_TS folder does not need to be MTRed and DVD2ONEed again. That folder can be moved intact over and over. (Just make sure it's burned in the UDF format if you want the DVD to play.)
